The Golden Corral -- Conway, AR

I used to enjoy going to the Golden Corral in North Little Rock. Not because the food was awesome but because it was an okay thing you could eat for cheap. It sure had Ryan's beat. So, I was pretty excited when I found out they were opening one here in my hometown of Conway.

Right after they opened my husband and I took our two daughters there to try it out. We were soorly dissapointed to say the least. All of their food is different than it was in North Little Rock. I don't know if it's just this location thats this bad or if the whole chain has changed. But, I wouldn't chance it and try another location. All of the food is tasteless slop that I wouldn't feed to a dog.

Aside from the attrocious food, the prices have also skyrocketed. For 2 adults and 2 children we spent over $40 and had to eat somewhere else because none of us could eat it. Fourty bucks is not cheap. I can think of many places much better to go on fourty bucks. I would rather eat just about anything over The Golden Corral. I would rather eat at the golden arches. And thats a big deal because I am not a fan of McDonald's at all. But it would be about half the price.

If youre thinking about heading out The Golden Corral, stay home and make yourself a sammich! You'll save a lot of money and believe me PB&J is much better anyway!

I wouldn't eat this if it were free. I think the big wigs of Golden Corral would have to pay me pain and suffering if I were to choke down anymore of their slop! This girl gives Golden Corral two thumbs WAY down.

Roper's Restaurant

           Roper's Restaurant in Greenbrier is a great place to get a pizza for those of us in central Arkansas. It is a small place with a country feel. The service is awesome. The waitstaff are fast and friendly. And the food is fantastic.
           Why is the pizza so awesome? Have you ever heard of Shotgun Dan's? Most people in this area would answer yes to that one. One of the owners of Shotgun Dan's also owns Roper's. I am going to assume that most of us have already tried Shotgun Dan's so I will not be reviewing them. But, I will say they have some of the best pizza around.
          Roper's pizza is exactly the same as Shotgun Dan's. So if you live in the Greenbrier area and get a craving for good pizza, save yourself a trip to little rock and head on down to Roper's.
